During 2010 IKM will arrange visits to the six religions presented in the exhibition ”Our Sacred Space”. The visits will be connected to one of each religions Holy celebrations, where we will learn about and participate in the celebrations. We will visit three religions during spring. The visits will be 2 (two) hours each.
Torsdag 18/2: Hinduismen. Feiring av Shivratri.
Bli med til hindutemplet på Ammerud og lær om høytiden Shivratri! Da feires guden Shiva, en av de viktigste gudene i hinduismen. Vi får en omvisning i templet, får høre om hvordan høytiden markeres og de som ønsker det har mulighet til å være med på kveldsritualet i templet etterpå.
Oppmøte på Interkulturelt museum kl 18.00 eller på Ammerud t-banestasjon kl. 18.30
Join us for a visit to a Hindu temple and the festival of Shivratri! The festival is a celebration of Shiva, one of the most important gods in hinduism. The visit includes a guided tour of the temple, a presentation about the festival and a chance to participate in the evening ritual afterwards. We meet at Intercultural museum at 6 p.m, or at Ammerud tube station at 6.30 pm.
Søndag 18/4: Sikhismen. Feiring av Baisaki.
Opplev sikhenes nyttårsfeiring! Baisaki er en markering av at Khalsaordenen ble opprettet, noe du får lære mer om under besøket i sikhgurduaraen på Alnabru. Dette er en av de største høytidene i sikhismen og vi får bli med på feiringen.

Join the Sikh New Year celebration! Baisakhi is a commemoration of the establishment of the Khalsa order, which you can learn more about during the visit in the Sikh Gurdwara. This is one of the largest holidays in sikhism and we get to be there at their celebration. We meet at Intercultural museum at 2 p.m.
Torsdag 27/5: Buddhismen. Feiring av Vesak.
Bli med til det vietnamesiske buddhisttemplet på Løvenstad og vær med på å feire Buddhas fødsel og oppvåkning! Vi får et foredrag om høytiden, blir vist rundt i templet av munker og får være med på å pynte og forberede templet til neste dag, som er selve dagen.

Come with us to a vietnamese buddhist temple and celebrate the birth and enlightenment of Buddha! Monks will show us around in the temple, we will learn about the holiday and help decorate the temple for the great celebration the day after. We meet at Intercultural museum at 6 p.m.
