UK: Football stars kick out racism

Football players at Birmingham have joined forces with police on a city estate to help stamp out racist bullying.

Police officers and youth workers visited 30 schools around Stechford, Sheldon, Small Heath and Shard End to give talks about racist bullying.

Pupils were challenged to create a story to raise awareness of the issues.

The winning story and three runners-up will will win free match tickets as well as making the stories into posters to highlight the impact of bullying to other children.

Contest winner Ajay Singh-Degpal, from Elms Farm Primary School, Sheldon, will take some classmates to see Birmingham City play Blackburn Rovers.
