Hundred of French observers from Amnesty International are in charge of the popular mobilisations during the G-8 summit, which started the first June in Evian (France).

They are posted since Thursday around the building where the Official delegations are dwelling. They will be deployed on Sunday in Geneva where another group of Observers from the Switzerland section will join them.

As neutral party, they are in charge of verifying, if the intervention of the police forces are in accordance of the limit of rules and the law. At Amnesty International, we think that, the mobilisation of observers will have a real impact on preventing violence between the police forces and anti G-8 mob.
