UK: Dog bites man in ‘racist’ attack

An assault in which a man was bitten on the chest by a dog may have been racially motivated, police say.

The victim, who is black, was verbally abused before he was bitten by the “pit bull-style” dog, which was being held in the arms of the alleged attacker.

The dog was thrust towards the victim by the man, who was believed to be in his early twenties.

The attacker was described as 5ft 11ins, of slim build, with short brown hair, and with a local accent.

A man with him was described as also being in his early twenties, 5ft 9ins, of medium build, with cropped fair hair.

After committing the assault, the men drove off in a silver car.
