PM tells his daughter to get a McJob

Thailand's billionaire Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has sent his teenage daughter to work at McDonald's.

If Paetongtarn, 17, thought she could keep a low profile on her first day, her hopes were dashed when her father dropped by for a takeaway meal.

Mr Thaksin, who himself worked at KFC while studying in the US, let the phalanx of reporters trailing him know that even in the family of a billionaire, the younger generation must learn the value of money and hard work.

Paetongtarn, who has just completed her university entrance exams, will work there on a part-time basis.
