More foreigners caught in Iraq chaos

Three New Zealanders are in strife in Iraq and one man's family fears he has been kidnapped.

However, he may have been detained by US-led forces.

As US President George W. Bush warned of more bloodshed, abductions sparked new confusion in allied nations.

More than 70 US soldiers and 700 Iraqis have been killed this month.

Russia will begin pulling civilians out today, joining Japan in a mass evacuation. About 40 people are confirmed abducted and many of the missing are feared taken by insurgent forces.
