Dr. S. H. Hasbullah from Dept. of Geography, University of Pernadeniya, Sri
Lanka
has conducted a large study on IDPs in Sri Lanka and he is involved in the
Peace Talks.
He is a member of the sub-committee safeguarding the interests of IDPs
during the
peace process. He was involved in the talks in Bangkok and Berlin last
winter.
The peace talks collapsed in April when the LTTE refused to take part. The
current
meeting in Paris with LTTE present is crucial for reviving the peace talks.
